I thought YES, but my man in the know says NO.

AE -Now you have sent everyone to sleep with that drivel, how about just answering the question?

Again...Yes, no, or don't know?

Re: Do you think Allardyce will get a new contract?
Like a lot of people on here I'm a little concerned about our 1 win in 12. We have a much better squad than last season and have seen improvement in most areas.

I'd say that where we finish at the end of the season is how Allardyce should be judged. If we finish roughly the same as last season I think he has under achieved. If we finish in the top 8 then it is progression.

I believe Andy Carroll will never be worth the money we paid for him due to his injuries and I wouldn't be surprised if his career was ended prematurely by injury very soon, It's sad because before his latest injury he was looking really good again

It's a shame our season has ebbed away but apart from Man City we have plenty of winnable games and certain players are playing for their futures and Allardyce likewise, time to see who really wants it.

Probably...

But he might get offers for more cash from mid/lower table teams...

If so he will leave...

Re: Do you think Allardyce will get a new contract?
Yes.

Two years to ensure stability next year and not starting off with uncertainties in Stratford. Games will pretty much sell out for the next two years regardless of who is in charge. G & S won't lose sleep over a bit of forum moaning.

The momentum stopped when Carroll got injured, simples.

Re: Do you think Allardyce will get a new contract?
Somebody touched on it earlier, on another thread, Allardyce's biggest problem this season is he hasn't been able to keep the momentum going and failed to adjust his mentality/expectations when it became apparent what the squad was capable of. Granted, injuries haven't helped that but IMO he has helped to destroy any momentum the team had leading up to Christmas, starting with the total surrender at Chelsea.

The fact that he probably wouldn't judge 10th as a disappointment says a lot. I will accept we all would probably have taken that at the start of the season but by Christmas it was apparent that the team was capable of finishing a fair bit higher than that.

If the club finishes in the bottom half then I think that would be a bit embarrassing for Allardyce, really.

Also, it looks like he is "saddened" by Poyet's sacking- Not surprised that he thinks 1 win in 12 doesn't warrant a sacking

Ken Dyer also says in that interview that he has done everything which the club asked of him... Seemed very complimentary

Re: Do you think Allardyce will get a new contract?
Ken Dyer in the standard is saying talks will be held next month whether he will get a new contract or not. Moyes heading a list with bilic, benitez and bielsa included. Would be delighted with any of the Bs

Re: Do you think Allardyce will get a new contract?
I thought Warburton handled the recent notification that he won't be Brentford manager next season with great aplomb and dignity.

If the same thing happens to the walrus it would be good to witness the same sort of behaviour.

I change from week to week. Last week I was a definite yes, now I'm not sure he will. Getting a bit fed up with it now.

The photos showed jussi kicking a ball and joey o Kung fu looking dead hard. These will really worry Sunderland.

The photos of the players training today that I have seen show no sign of Samuel.

Can we do him for dereliction of duty?

How have I changed my tune? I have always said the same thing. You praise the manager when he deserves it and you criticise when he deserves it. I have always only ever done that.

But along the way you must always support him. That is now gone from the majority of the support so Sam has to go.

I have been saying for a while on here that situation has reached a point of no return. The gap between Sam and the fans is to vast. It is untenable. So for that reason it's goodbye Vienna and we move forward. Obviously thanking Sam for achieving PL stability before he leaves.

You see, through it all, there are still those supporters that aren't in one camp or another. I have never been in one or another. I just say it how I see it.

Re: Do you think Allardyce will get a new contract?
It's funny that Sunderland are looking likely to sack Gus Poyet because he's only had 1 win in 12.

The favourite to replace him is SA .......who has had 1 win in 12....
